NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
Our Medical doctors and Naturopathic doctors use unique metabolic and functional medicine methodologies in a very comprehensive approach. Our providers conduct a thorough interview to assess your health goals, metabolic goals, and an appropriate lab work up to achieve your optimal wellness!

We utilize multiple specialized laboratories across Canada, the USA, and Germany to make sure every patient receives the highest quality of diagnostics and care to achieve their health goals! Services such as IV therapies, pain management (Prolotherapy, PRP, Trigger Point therapy, ozone therapy, and more), College-approved prescription medications, and supplementation plans are part of our comprehensive approach!

Food Sensitivity Testing
What is food sensitivity? The inability to tolerate foods and environmental factors, also known as sensitivity or intolerance, induces chronic activation of the innate immune system and gives rise to inflammatory processes, which includes excess production of reactive oxygen species and the release of preformed and newly synthesized mediators of inflammation.
This inflammation has been linked to countless chronic conditions, including: digestive disorders, migraines, obesity, chronic fatigue, ADD, aching joints, skin disorders, arthritis and many more.
How does food sensitivity differ from classic food allergies?
True food allergies refer to foods that trigger the immune system to acutely produce massive amounts of the chemical histamine that leads to anaphylaxis. This potentially fatal condition causes the throat and esophagus to swell, cutting off air from the lungs, or may simply cause hives, skin rashes, and other non-life-threatening reactions. This type of reaction is called a type I hypersensitivity reaction, caused by the degranulation of mast cells or basophils that is mediated by Immunoglobulin E (IgE).
Gut Health & Digestion
We utilize comprehensive GI Tests that offer the most advanced non-invasive evaluation of digestion, absorption, gut flora, and the colonic environment, this profile is indicated for all chronic GI problems, for acute bowel pattern changes, and for many systemic diseases and provides a sensitivity panel for treating pathogenic flora. The test also helps identify inflammatory conditions (including subclinical inflammation) such as food allergies, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), NSAID enteropathy, and post-infectious Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Pancreatic insufficiency is also assessed by via Pancreatic Elastase (PE-1) a marker that is not affected by digestive supplements, changes in stool transit time or marker variability. The addition of the Parasitology test, will also indicate whether there are any current parasitic infections.
Adrenal Stress Test
The Comprehensive Adrenal Stress Profile comprises of the standard Adrenal Stress Profile, which assesses cortisol and DHEA levels, and a Secretory IgA (SIgA) test. Stress is cumulative, and emotional, physical and/or metabolic stress affects the body in the same way. Chronic maladaption of stress, signaled by imbalances of cortisol, DHEA and SIgA can lead to the most common health complaints of the 21st century. Both excesses and deficiencies of DHEA and cortisol have been implicated in the etiology of various illnesses and immune suppression. Therefore preventative and therapeutic approaches should emphasize the critical importance of maintaining the proper equilibrium of these adrenal hormones. How an individual copes with the actual stress on a physiological level is largely dependant on nutritional status, lifestyle factors, and the period of time subjected to stress. Emotional behaviour and personal attitudes can be closely interlinked with physiological expression of stress.
Nutreval “the gold standard of nutritional testing”
The NutrEval profile is the most comprehensive evaluation available to help overcome chronic disease and promote optimal health. The profile consists of Metabolic Analysis, Amino Acid, Essential and Metabolic Fatty Acids, Oxidative Stress, Nutrient & Toxic Elements, Vitamin D, homocysteine, Glutathione and CoQ10.
Comprehensive Cardiovascular Risk Assessment
A comprehensive evaluation of cardiovascular risk, measuring various important markers such as cholesterol, triglycerides, and homocysteine, as well as key inflammatory markers. This unique test combines both traditional and cutting-edge indicators of cardiovascular health that can often be corrected with nutritional intervention.
Comprehensive Female Hormone Panel
As well as assessing the monthly fluctuation in Oestradiol and Progesterone through the female hormone panel, this panel also assesses the Melatonin and Adrenal Hormones, Cortisol and DHEA. The hormone Melatonin is the major neuroendocrine modulator of annual and circadian biorhythms in the body. Abnormalities of Melatonin circadian function have been closely linked to a variety of behavioural changes and mood disorders including: female hormone disturbance, insomnia, sleep-wake problems, mood disturbance, increased risk of cardiovascular disease, immune dysfunction, inhibition of ovulation and low body temperature.
Menopause Female Hormone Panel
Although menopause is a normal part of a woman’s maturation, many experience adverse effects. The measurement of oestradiol and progesterone from a single saliva sample, can give valuable information about the balance of these hormones. This profile also evaluates adrenalcortex function and the circadian fluctuation in the hormones, cortisol and DHEA. An inappropriate adrenal response can negatively impact on many other common health complaints, including menopause. The other hormones that can influence menopausal symptoms are also measured, including testosterone and melatonin. In addition, levels of anti- and pro- carcinogenic oestrogen metabolites which can help assess if there is an increased oestrogen-sensitive risk
Male Hormone Panel
Changes in the production of the sex hormone testosterone can exert a profound influence on sexual function, bone density, fat metabolism, mood states, energy levels, and even physical appearance of skin and muscle tone. The Male Hormone Profile is an accurate, convenient, non-invasive saliva assay that evaluates testosterone activity in men. This profile also includes measures of stress hormones (cortisol and DHEA) and melatonin, thereby providing a more complete picture of the role played by adrenal hormones and melatonin in the production of symptoms and/or imbalances. Optimal health is dependent on the balance of these hormones, not just a single hormone.
